iluminize rotary dimmer - smart dimming at 230V united in design

Two components in one

Behind the noble control element with rotary button is the smart heart as an important initiator. Our Zigbee dimming actuator is perfectly suited for dimming at 230V via phase section (TRIAC) - it communicates via Zigbee and thus addresses many coordinators such as Philips Hue.

Compatible Zigbee coordinators

The rotary dimmer works with most popular Zigbee systems & voice controllers. A handy coordinator is the Philips Hue Bridge, which also supports HomeKit but not Entertainment. But also these gateways are compatible with our Zigbee dimming actuator:

Small tip: Thanks to a pairing with the Philips Hue Bridge , you benefit from a comprehensive and organized overview. Here you can also integrate and control many dimmable 230V LED lamps.

Simple operation

You can switch your lights on and off by pressing a button on the rotary switch. You can also set the desired brightness on the rotary switch. As the name already says - dimming by turning!

Without N-conductor

Works with and without N-conductor - without N-conductor please use the iluminize Bypass according to the wiring diagram (not reverse polarity protected) for less than 20W LED or for afterglow of the lamps. This is also available in our compatible Bypass-Set . Operation without neutral conductor is only possible with the marked models.

Innovative setting of the minimum brightness

Via push button on the actuator you set the minimum brightness individually. This prevents the connected lamps from flickering if they are dimmed too much.

Optional switching via pushbutton

Switching can also be done additionally/exclusively with one or more rocker pushbuttons (necessarily normally open type, from several locations as with a toggle switch, not included). Due to the special operation without neutral conductor, the pushbutton (normally open contact) must be connected directly. Pushbuttons with status lights must not be used.

Fits in the flush-mounted box

Due to the dimensions of 71 mm x 71 mm x 50 mm, the dimmer with rotary switch fits into common flush-mounted boxes. The flexible claws on the retaining plate ensure a firm hold. 

Combinable design

It can be effortlessly integrated into many existing frame systems including accessories (Gira, Berker, Jung, Merten, Busch Jäger) and thus offers you a flexible combination.

Installation & mounting

For flush mounting a box with at least 60mm depth without additional cables and terminals is required. The actuator may only be used for lighting purposes. The switching capacities according to the instructions must not be exceeded. 

Please note: Pushbutton rockers with status lights are not suitable for this purpose.
